Some SquaRed History
Several years ago, when I first moved out on my own, I would cook monstrous meals. This was because I didn’t know any other way. I was raised in a kitchen that fed an army, so the only way I knew how to cook was for an army of people. This meant I was throwing away tons of food. I don’t even know how much nor do I want to think about it now, but I knew something needed to change.
Through many Google searches, I found most recipes were built to serve 4 or even 6 people. That is all well and good if I, a single person living alone, had two chest freezers that I could fill to the brim with leftovers. So I set out to create a zone where I could modify recipes that I loved to fit both my budget and reduce food waste. That’s when SquaRed Dishes was born!
Meet the Cook
My name is Kendall and I aspire to be many things. My heart lies in education, but my passion extends to food and the possibilities food allows me to create. I’m still learning my way around my tiny kitchen, but I have spent most of my life attached to the apron strings of my mama and grandmama. There I learned how to wield a spoon and spatula. In my free time, I also scrapbook, write and take pictures to capture those amazing moments life is so full of! My journey has been long and I still have miles to go before I sleep.
